Minecraft has been getting lots of cool new features, especially for version 1.21. The mace, and the trial chambers are so far 2 of the best features for this upcoming update, but there's also new mobs like the Bogged and the Breeze.

While getting brand new content is great, I think it's worth noting that getting fresh content for old features is good for Minecraft as well. Having updates for older biomes can keep the game fresh and full of new things to see and do! This is why I believe it's very possible for Mojang to make a new biome update this year for version 1.21. There are still a great handful of biomes to update, and of course there is the End Dimension.

So many players have wanted an End dimension update in the last few years. Some have made it a complaint, and others a kind suggestion, but either way we can all agree that the End is outdated. Giving the End more content in a Vanilla styled way (Not a mod clone) can help make the end more enjoyable, and perhaps livable?

There's also of course the new deep dark biome that everyone has been discussing. Players are curious on why there is a portal like structure in the ancient city, and heck some want the ability to enter the portal! I myself think it's a really cool idea since we've never had a new dimension since the first End introduction.
