At opposite ends of a breached beaver dam spanning nearly 80 yards, thus the lower water level and more exposed dam structure, two cameras captured the wonderfully entertaining activity over the summer months of 2020. Beginning with a red tail hawk and ending with a short tail weasel, this location was visited by more variety of wildlife than any other location.

Land mammals, migratory and resident birds, and semi-aquatic mammals all utilize these wonderful habitats created by beavers. Also included in this compilation are lynx, wolves, grizzly and black bears, coyotes, porcupines, a mule deer, silver fox, and an owl. Other species captured here but not included in this time frame are otters, mink, muskrat, and several bird species.

Notice the exposed beaver lodge on the right side of some of the clips in which the entrances are visible that would normally be underwater. I've targeted that lodge in the past as well, until the area was flooded and filled with mud in 2021.
