Thanks for stopping by and joining me as I do a deep dive on the Valiant Defense Series by David Thompson and published by Dan Verssen Games (DVG), which includes Pavlov’s House, Castle Itter, Soldiers in Postmen’s Uniforms and Lanzerath Ridge. Each game (a) is based in part on the States of Siege System (Victory Point Games); (b) built for solitaire; (c) presents rarely covered conflicts; (d) depicts increasingly better graphics (but all easy to understand); (e) share similar mechanics, (f) focus on WWII conflicts and small unit tactical (SUT) combat; and (g) most importantly IMHO create a compelling narrative around the individuals portrayed and their heroic endeavors.
