What If Naruto Joined The Anbu?

Naruto is a skilled ninja. I’ll give him that much. By the point in time that he becomes the Hokage, he is truly worthy of the position. One position many a time we have all likely toyed with would be if he joined the ANBU Black-Ops. The ANBU are almost as well known to fans as the term Hokage, and are often viewed as one of the coolest concepts in Naruto. For myself, I always viewed the ANBU more in line with an ACTUAL Ninja. While most Naruto characters are considered Ninja, I always found it odd that they believed that a bright, neon-orange jumpsuit was considered proper stealth attire. The ANBU however were secretive, wore masks, and all possessed the same uniform without exception. In fact, when you were in the ANBU, very few people knew about it. Most of the time, if you were living in the Hidden Leaf, your pastime was watching the movements of other villagers and looking at people who were always coming and going from the village without eating, and then imagining what sort of missions they went on in the ANBU, whether you were sure they were ANBU or not. It was really hard to peg anyone for the ANBU due to how secretive they were. However, they did have one calling card, and that was a tattoo on their right arm. This group also did not respect the concept of rank, and the only way they determined who was superior was due to how much experience they had. While you were required to be a powerful shinobi to even get it, you also needed the proper mentality too, which I fear is not fit for Naruto. However, let’s make an exception and imagine a world where Naruto might be a member of the ANBU.
