The hitters I'll be covering in this episode are Hank Aaron, Mel Ott, Eric Davis, and the number one P4P hitter of all time, Willie Mays. All four of these guys, at least in the world of swing instruction, are almost never brought up as someone whose swing should be modelled. Instead they model guys like Alex Rodriguez and Barry Bonds who took steroids to reach their stats, or guys like Tony Gwynn who had very little power. By developing the pound for pound equation, I want to highlight the guys who we should really be modeling in swing instruction.
