Late spring and early summer is a great time to hike in the Wild Basin at Rocky Mountain National Park. We entered the park at the Wild Basin entrance on the south side of RMNP. We took the Ouzel Falls trail stopping at Lower Copeland Falls, Upper Copeland Falls and Calypos Cascades. This route pretty much takes you along the North Saint Vrain river the entire trail.
This out and back trail totaled 6.18 miles, 997 feet of elevation gain, and hiking time of 3 hours and 20 minutes.
