I take my 2005 23 Contender Tournament about 45 miles offshore in search of the elusive solo tuna. I start off trolling up some small school bluefin tuna. These fish were keyed in on a very small slick and a small lump. After catching them on the troll I decide to start chunking/chumming with butterfish and sardines. We get a few more bluefin tuna and then fight a monster yellowfin tuna for over an hour
Truly an accomplishment on 40 pound leader all by myself
