Local outdoor IDPA at M160 gun range. Weather......too f**king hot for this time of year! In short...I shot like shit. I was too slow, especially at first, too many points down, a few poor stage plans, and a bone headed PE. Diving a little more into it, first stage shot the sun was really messing with me, it was about 9:20 am and that bay (and 2 more) faces East. The next stage was a poor stage plan on my part, I decided to do less running and go for head shots. I should have did the extra movement, it would have been faster shooting on the body. At 1:10 I had a poor grip, thought I could power through it, nope, it resulted in a malfunction, lost a little time there and more poor planning going left, should have burned a few rounds to avoid the flat footed reload at 1:21.
I'm noticing sometimes my mags aren't falling out faster, at 1:45, I need to clean/apply some tire shine to them more often I guess. The PE at 2:12 really bothers me, I often check to see the round marker on the mag to avoid this. Some how I F'ed that one up.
I will do better next Saturday.
