After six inch bats of installation were installed on all stick walls in the cabin a crew supplied by a good friend of ours in Massachusetts came up to the cabin to install sheetrock with plaster skim coat on all non-log interior walls.

As can be seen in the video, a large truck carrying the sheetrock from Portland, ME turned too sharply into the property and quickly bogged down, axle deep in mud. Maine is known to have a fifth season - ‘mud season’ and we were in the midst of it.

As usual, our friendly excavator man came to the rescue with his front-end loader and a flat-bed. He first pulled the truck out onto Route 26 and then had the sheetrock transferred to his flat-bed which he drove up to the cabin for off-loading through the cabin’s windows.
