“Checkmate”. The Pieper High School Band of Warriors performance of their 2023 production at the USBands Hill Country Regional Finals on October 7, 2023. The BoW was named Champions of the Hill Country Regional, placing 1st in finals. They swept all caption awards, winning best music, best visual, best overall effect, best color guard, and best percussion. This contest was Pieper's second USBands Regional win, and first at the home stadium. In prelims, the BoW placed 1st in Group 5, winning awards for best music, best overall effect, best color guard, and best percussion. The band placed first overall of all groups in prelims, and was awarded the last spot to perform in finals.
