Some tips for small business:
make your items before you post them, not just when you make a sale
ship off right away or next day
Etsy makes it very easy to get shipping labels, and if you put your package in the mailbox with the flag up, the mail carrier should pick it up instead of traveling all the way to the post office!
Including a handwritten note and a free gift or two makes for extra happy customers!
Choose a niche for selling, I don't recommend jewelry because there is so much competition
Sometimes you can find craft supplies at the dollar store! (Yarn/fabric)
Look for discounts on supplies at places like Hobby Lobby! (Especially the clearance section)
