I look at the life and work of the Scottish architect and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh. A leading, international figure in the early twentieth century he disappeared from view but is now regarded as one of the most important British architects of the last 150 years. I also look at the work of his wife Margaret Macdonald a leading Scottish artist at the beginning of the twentieth century whose work may have influenced Gustav Klimt when she and Mackintosh exhibited at the Eighth Secessionist Exhibition in Vienna in 1900.
