In the deeper being of us, there are some centres of spiritual force which remain normally dormant as we live superficially - on the surface levels. However, when we enter or are exposed to the higher atmosphere of the Spirit, these centres spontaneously open out.

Here, in this Canto 12 of Book 2, we see Aswapathy entering into a world where he goes through this kind of experience and many more including that of physical body which is subject to limitations of mortality being given the first-hand experience of true love based on an entire self-giving which results in a deep joy, a bliss which is the hallmark of a heart that is undecaying.
