Hamburg is the second most populous city in Germany and has played a major role throughout its history. Hamburg is currently the largest non capital city within the EU with a population of just under 2 million people. Despite being located on the Elbe river, its proximity to the mouth of the river as well as the abundance of seagulls gave me the impression as though Hamburg was a coastal port city similar to Liverpool. Hopefully this video makes you want to visit this great city.
