The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial will resume on Thursday morning to allow the defence time to prepare heads of argument to oppose the state's intention to call a vehicle tracker expert to the stand.

The State indicated it wanted to call an expert to testify on Longwe Twala's car movements on the day that Senzo Meyiwa was killed.

This after the defence put it to one of the witnesses in August, Colonel Chris Mangena, that during a scuffle inside the house, Twala had also shot himself in the foot and then had later consulted a doctor.
