• MUSHROOM ROCK TRAIL – CARBONDALE, COLORADO

As we were making our way to Glenwood Springs we discovered a nice looking trailhead just off the highway in Carbondale, Colorado about 50 minutes northwest of Aspen. This trail, called Mushroom Rock Hike, had many amazing viewpoints and various styles of landscapes and terrain, from orange clay rock formations to green forest canopies with snow covered grounds. Since it was right off the highway it made for a great stop, however you can definitely hear the road noise on the beginning section of the trail. Nonetheless I really enjoyed this trail and was one of my favorites that I've experienced on this trip!
