Each parkrun territory can choose an extra parkrunday a year for a special celebratory parkrun (plus New Year's Day which all territories are given). In the UK we have Christmas Day but Sweden celebrate their additional parkrun on Swedish National Day. Having never run (or been to Scandanavia) we took the opportunity to parkrun in Denmark and Sweden.

We ran at parkrun Amager Strandpark in Copenhagen on Saturday/parkrunday before heading to Sweden to parkrun again on Monday! Given all the flight chaos in the UK at the moment I was feeling very anxious about this trip but it was worth every single moment of worry as it turned out to be one of the best parkrun experiences I've ever had!

Amager Strandpark is stunningly beautiful and it was an absolute privilege to run there with so many excited parkrun tourists and friendly faces. Huge thanks to Hans and his team for a magical parkrun experience. Our parkrun family is really rather special! I hope this video shows just how much I loved this trip!
