In this video, I take on my very first hike to the cliff edge and Napoleonic Ruins of the incredible Horn Head in County Donegal, Ireland! Horn Head is known for its jaw-dropping 180-meter-high (600ft) cliffs, this headland offers some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in Ireland. From towering cliffs plunging into the Atlantic Ocean to sweeping views of the Wild Atlantic Way, this hike is full of unforgettable sights.

The Napoleonic Watch Tower was built in the 1800s to monitor ship movements. The ruins add a fascinating layer of history to this stunning spot I was in awe of the natural beauty.

While hiking I was reminded just how dangerous these cliffs can be. With sheer drops and narrow, rocky paths, Horn Head is not a place to take lightly. You'll need to stay cautious and stick to the marked trails, especially if it's windy or wet. The cliffs can be slippery, and the weather can change quickly, making it a challenging hike for those not prepared. Safety is key when hiking in such a remote and exposed location.

Join me as I navigate this thrilling and beautiful adventure for the first time, and learn what you should watch out for if you plan to visit this spectacular yet dangerous location!

🗺️ Trail Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging (narrow paths and steep cliffs)
