Melbourne Airport is a main hub for Qantas and have 3 of 12 A380s currently based there. The Los Angeles A380 service is by far the most popular flight by travelers and plane spotters alike. The flight arrives early in the morning and after a quick, 2 and a half hour turn around, it is back off to Los Angeles! Here's my video that I filmed on this popular aircraft, from a couple of different angles available to film from around the perimeter of Melbourne Airport!

The arrival was captured from the top level of the T4 carpark. We're then taken to operations road, where we can get right up close to this magnificent aircraft as it powers up and barrels down the runway, I have then set up my camera towards the top of Gellibrand hill to capture the rotation and ascent into the skies, embarking its journey to Los Angeles. All clips were filmed at around a 600mm focal length for an extra up close and personal feel!
