Long Range FPV flying is becoming a thing again. After all, racing and looping around trees can be boring sometimes. 2018/2019 style long range is not really that long-range. Let's assume, that now we are fine to call everything above 1km or 3/4 mile a Long Range (as opposed to Line Of Sight and short-range FPV).

This video is for both fixed-wing and quad pilots that think about flying slightly further away than usual and have zero experience. I will skip aspects like hardware setup, RC link and concentrate on not so obvious aspects like knowing your ground, trusting your hardware, wind, OSD, directions, planning, and so on.

Long-Range can be both fun and safe if only you approach it correctly.
