Sorry we pronounced salute wrong. FYI, we had an air conditioner breakdown and had to fix it which delayed the dinner a lot. So, if you think mom and dad are not as perky, it’s because it was a really late night 😁
They are trying:
1 Aperitivo - Crodino con fichi e prosciutto (Itailan botanical drink with figs wrapped with prosciutto with honey lemon dressing. Also served some nuts and olives)
2. Antipasto - Fiori di zucca in pastella ripieni (Fried zucchini flowers stuffed with fresh mozzarella and anchovies)
3. Primo - Gnocchi burro e salvia (Gnocchi with sage butter)
4. Secondo - Osso buco e polenta taragna (Braised veal shank with gremolada sauce, served with corn and buckwheat polenta)
5. Contorno - Carciofi Ammollicati (Artichoke stuffed with toasted breadcrumbs and pecorino cheese)
6. Insalata - Insalata di arance e finocchio (Orange and fennel salad with orange dressing and toasted pine nuts)
7. Formaggi e frutta - A variety of cheeses and fruit
8. Dolce - Cannoli (Cannolis with chocolate and pistachios)
9. Digestivo - Caffè (Italian Espresso)
