The Diocese of Orange celebrated the completed transformation of the entire 34-acre Christ Cathedral campus with the dedication of the St. Callistus Chapel and Crypts, located in the cathedral undercroft.

Since the Diocese’s purchase of the Crystal Cathedral in 2012, it has taken 12 years to finish the original vision for the campus, which included extensively renovating the cathedral for Catholic worship, renovating the Arboretum and Tower of Hope, constructing the Our Lady of La Vang Shrine, expanding the Memorial Gardens cemetery, building the Marian Gardens, restoring the Hazel Wright Organ and adding the St. Callistus chapel.

With narration from Fr. Christopher Smith, rector emeritus, please enjoy this look back at the last five years since the 2019 dedication of Christ Cathedral. Under the Catholic Church’s stewardship, it has remained a Place for Christ Forever.
