I wanted to know what happened to garlic that had been infected with red rust, so I pulled it out as a test. I had thought that the growth of garlic plants would stop because photosynthesis could not be carried out when the rust disease occurred, but flower buds appeared on many garlic plants. Unless it has completely stopped growing, the garlic bulbs may be starting to get fat if the roots and core are not moldy.

The garlic, which was about a month away from harvesting, was larger than expected. After removing the leaves and peeling the balls, the bulbs of the garlic are fairly large. It has many roots and is not affected by mold. The garlic core is also clean white with no discoloration or rot. With this, we may be able to harvest within the next 20 to 30 days. The possibility of harvesting garlic with red rust, which was about to give up, has come up.
