This video features Phil Horberry driving a John Deere 8RX working at Airmyn in East Yorkshire, England.

The machine is owned by G Haigh & Son and is working down potato land ready for drilling winter wheat crop later on.
The previous potato crop was harvested in good conditions after a very difficult dry year for UK farmers.

The alluvial silt soil is very fertile and usually easy working and boils under the tines and discs which you will see in the video.But with the subsoiler style legs sunk well in it makes the 8RX really pull hard when cutting through the compacted headlands.

So the John Deere 8RX & the Watkins Quad-Till had an easy job in levelling the field surface and incorporating all the potato haulm.

Phil has had the tractor for a few seasons now so you will see from some of the close up drone shots that he had the satellite steering set up perfectly as he didn't have to steer the tractor while facing backwards making sure the soil and haulm didn't boil up too much and block his coulters.

All the machines were running on fuel supplied by me and Rix Petroleum.
