TROUBLESHOOTING THIS TECHNIQUE
If the one-step method shown in this video isn't working for you, this is the two-step scrap yarn method I mentioned if you'd like to give it a try:    • How to Work a Provisional Cast On in ...   . It creates a scrap yarn cast on nearly identical to the one-step method, but you don't crochet directly on to the knitting needle.
