In 1978 I produced and directed a Schoenberg double Bill, "The Cabaret Songs of Arnold Schoenberg" and his operatic masterpiece "Erwartung "in Auckland New Zealand.

This is a record of that performant of Cabaret Songs for posterity This video also includes a documentary on how this performance was made and a short documentary on how to make your own TV programme. With the right tools and a little knowledge anyone can do this!

These videos were all available on DVDs which are now obsolete but have been digitised and are up on YouTube as a record of what a group of young professionals achieved. I was so glad to have been able to give them the opportunity as performing artists must perform while alive and unlike composers and fine artists cannot wait until they are dead.

This was filmed on the first video cameras at the last performance and I am now so glad I did it. My thanks to everyone involved.
