Hello friends!

I just wanted to share the top 6 must eat restaurants on our recent trip to Maui. I highly recommend visiting these 6 places especially if you have limited time in Maui since there are so many restaurants to choose from. I ranked these restaurants based on my preference including the taste, affordability, and ambience.

1. Paia Fish Market- 5:23
Address: 632 Front St, Lahaina, HI 96761
Easily hands down the best restaurant in Maui. If you only had to choose one restaurant to go to in Maui, I highly recommend visiting Paia Fish Market. It has 2 other locations in Maui (Hana highway and Kihei) but we went to the one in Lahaina. The place is super busy but the service is fast. You have to line up to place your order and I advise one of the group member to find a table while you are in line since the place is very busy. We ordered the snapper sauteed in garlic butter lemon sauce and the blackened ahi tuna with wasabi. Although the food presentation is not the most appetizing, the taste of the food is simple yet out of this world. The portions are huge and each plate cost about $20+ which is not bad considering the food prices in Maui.

2. Mama's Fish House- 3:07
Address: 799 Poho Pl, Paia, HI 96779
Once you arrive at Mama's Fish House, you feel like you are in paradise. The magnificent beachfront view and the food and its unique presentation makes this place the second must visit on our list. It took about 3 months to successfully get a reservation and I highly recommend that you either call or reserve online months ahead of your trip. They offered complementary fresh bread and a very small cup of soup and 1 small piece of house-made chocolate. We skipped the appetizer and ordered our entrees: New Zealand king salmon with coconut and a Tristan island lobster tail with crab stuffed macadamia nut encrusted mahi mahi. Our total bill including taxes and tips was $200.00. Although it was expensive, I would still recommend dining there on special occasions.

3. Hana Ranch Restaurant- 2:27
Address: 5031 Hana Hwy, Hana, HI 96713
We were starving while doing the road to Hana trip since we woke up late and started our journey later. We happened to see this beautiful restaurant atop of a hill overlooking the sea. We ordered chicken teriyaki and beef galbi and the service was fast. The food was simple yet tasty but the view while we ate was amazing.

4. Monkeypod- 1:39
Address: 2435 Kaanapali Pkwy, Lahaina, Maui, HI 96761-1980
A lot of people have been raving about this place based on food reviews and this place does not disappoint. I do advise making a reservation online but we were unable to get one despite trying to reserve days earlier. We had to wait for 1 hour and 45 minutes to be seated. Good thing, we went to the location in Whaler's Village and we just walked around the mall and admired the sunset along the beach to pass the time. We ordered the mocktail Mai Tai, garlic parmesan fries, roasted chicken wings, fish tacos and their famous cheese burger. The food was great but not the best I have tasted. If you don't have enough time and you are not willing to fall in line for close to 2 hours... you can skip this place.

5. Leoda's Kitchen & Pie Shop- 0:45
Address: 1022 Front St, Lahaina, HI 96761
A must visit in Maui and your trip would not be complete without tasting their famous banana cream pie. They also have a huge selection of other pie flavors and they also sell sandwiches and burgers. This place is beside a farmer's market which is an awesome place to buy fresh fruits and Hawaiian delicacies.

6. Down the Hatch - 0:10
Address: 658 Front St #102, Lahaina, HI 96761
The only restaurant in the whole island of Maui that is open after 9 PM. The entire island falls asleep after 9 PM and I am so grateful for this restaurant since they are open until 12 midnight. Their food is good especially their lava lava shrimp and reasonably priced with generous portions. I highly recommend that you visit this place especially if you want to have a good time with friends/family plus food & drinks and good music.
