We test the PS4 Slim to see how hot it gets...we also test the power consumption and noise level.
We start by testing the PS4 right out of the box without it even being set up yet. We then test it at the dashboard at idle, then we play a game for about 20 minutes and retest the temperature, decibels and watts.
Another test we do in this video is testing the PS4 before the thermal paste is replaced and after it's been replaced with brand new thermal paste.
We find that the readings are very similar before we replace the thermal paste and after. This shows that there is not a strong reason to replace the thermal paste right away.
