You join us today at Seaways Cafe in Fridaythorpe ahead of a ride out to explore some of the roads in the Yorkshire Wolds. We leave a very busy Seaways Cafe at 10 am heading out on the Bridlington road before turning north, through the moors toward the village of Goathland.

Goathland was the filming location for the TV series Heartbeat and depicts the fictional village of Aidensfield. It's a popular tourist spot for fans of the TV series and people who want to ride the steam train from Goathland station.

We leave Goathland, riding some quite challenging backroads before joining the main road in the seaside town of Scarborough. It's the height of summer and Scarborough was busy with tourists however, it's always easy to park your motorcycle near the sea wall on the South Bay and the fish and chips are usually very good.

After a brief walk along the promenade, we head south, out of Scarborough, through the Yorkshire Wolds heading for Driffield and our final desination of Seaways Cafe at Fridaythorpe to join loads of other bikers for Seaways biker's night.

All in all, it was a lovely ride. Not as many back roads as we would normally ride but if you've ridden in this area, even the main roads are good to ride and the scenery is outstanding in places.
