Aloha Week, a week of celebrations and ho'olaule'a in the streets of Waikiki, originated with the week when the first tourists began to arrive aboard Matson liners from the mainland in September. It's still celebrated, but of course the tourists arrive every hour or so by plane these days. And it's still a fun time to walk around Ho'olaule'a in Waikiki and hear great music.
