Hey folks, in this film I make a simple mead using honey, lavender from my garden and spring water. It's a simple recipe, which involves making a tea with lavender and some tea bags, melting the honey into the tea and then adding spring water and yeast. The mead turns out to be very strong and dry with a honey like smooth texture. I'll be completely honest, I wasn't very keen on the end result, the texture didn't suit the dryness and the flavour was overpoweringly a dry honey flavour, which I found odd. I'll put this one down as one not to brew again.

The film goes through all stages of the brew, including picking lavender, the recipe, preparation, fermentation, bottling and tasting.
