In this video, I define the purpose of using Forecasting in Salesforce for your Sales Team, as well as, begin with one of the initial steps by setting up the Forecast Hierarchy.

Forecasting:

How do you plan on growing your business if you can't get a visual into what money is coming down the pipeline? It is important that you set up a growth plan and forecasting is fundamental in helping you do that.

Forecasting Hierarchy:

If you plan on having managers in your business assist or own the responsibility of forecasting opportunity amounts, then setting up your Forecasting Hierarchy is what you need to do. You will identify who your Forecasting Managers will be for each ROLE/LEVEL. A Forecasting Manager will be able to view and edit forecasting amounts belonging to sales team members who directly report to them.
