Because I own an advertising agency I have had the opportunity of working with different businesses and have seen the behind-the-scenes. I've seen the businesses that work and those that don't.

❌ BAD BUSINESS IDEAS ❌

📦 DROPSHIPPING
You don't have the traditional cost of storing goods that more traditional companies have. So dropshipping really allows you to have an all-virtual business. In my experience, all of the advertisers I know don't like to work with dropshipping businesses because the margins are low and they don't have too much left to invest in advertising.

It is really hard to keep your customers happy because of finding good quality products for them, and also because it could take up to 2 months for them to receive what they bought.

Dropshipping is the type of business that always pops up on the Internet like is a good idea, but in reality, it is really hard. Usually you need to invest around $10,000-$20,000 USD per month to keep your shop rolling and, on top of that, the delivery takes a long time, so it is not as easy as it sounds.

📚 BOOKKEEPING
The problem with this business is that business owners are just going to pay you a specific fee that normal bookkeepers are paid. So it could sound like a good opportunity but it really doesn't have the same chance of scaling that other businesses have.

✍️ COPYWRITING
Copywriting is hard to sell because it is difficult to show a return of investment. But if you love copywriting within the advertising business, you would have a huge opportunity to do so, and in this case it is easy to show a direct return of investment for your client.

👨‍🏫 COACHING
It would take you between $30-50k per month to put your foot into the online coaching business because it is very over-saturated at this moment. Also, you really need to have a lot of results in order to show to your audience that you really can help them to achieve their goals.

🤳 SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
How much is social media really worth? The average social media manager gets paid between $400-$600 USD per month but the amount of time and effort to do this job is huge, so at the end of the day, it is not worth it.

💻 VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
Virtual assistants have a tough time making money because they get paid by the hour and it is really difficult to make over $30/hour. So, when you are in a business where you are capped off by how much you can get it really doesn't make sense. Also, you are going to be so busy that having the time to look for more clients is going to be challenging.

💰 AD AGENCY
This is absolutely the best business to start because you can show potential business owners a return of investment and also you close these clients over the phone which increases your growth opportunities.

🤝 CLOSER
If you love sales and you are good at talking to people, being a closer could be the right business idea for you. But it's true this is a commission based business, so if you don't get any sales, you don't get paid.
