As opposed to other modifications, switching to a performance filter can tackle standard maintenance at the same time. If your stock air filter is dirty, it won't flow as well as it should, hampering engine power and fuel economy. Replacing the filter with a clean one restores the lost power and economy while ensuring the air entering your engine remains clean. Typical air filter intervals are around 30,000 miles, but that's all dependent on your environment. Dusty or heavily pollinated areas may need more frequent replacements.
