Dida, is missing her parents and her late grandmother "kakni" today and is singing a popular Kashmiri song " waeriven seet waar tchas no" which means " am not doing that great at my in-laws place". Dida is heart broken today as her mother -in -law Ammaji has been rude to her because the "rice" cooked by Dida was not per Amma ji's liking. Ammaji starts to taunt Dida and breaks her heart. Dida prefers to walk upto her room rather than engaging in any unpleasant argument with Ammaji. The elderly Muslim Kashmiri neighbour (lady) called "Taeth" somehow senses that Dida is crying and not in the best of her moods and decides to spend sometime with Dida and shower some motherly love.
