EA: Interest and Demand for Battlefield Franchise Remains Strong, Where Market Is Now and Strength of Series Are a “Perfect Match”


I don’t think there’s ever been a better time to look at the potential of the Battlefield franchise right now. You heard from Byron today about the level of engagement that we have in the community. Interest and demand remains strong, and we have an incredibly strong leadership team — the strongest leadership team we’ve ever had — on the Battlefield franchise. We have four studios instead of one working on it. so we know we’re investing in all the right places, and the most interesting thing really is the market has evolved and changed, and the shooter category has, and players have an agency over their gameplay; players who want to engage in these massive scaled battles. We have vehicles, and when you think about that, where the market’s gone, and what the strengths of Battlefield really are, it’s like this perfect match.
