Elisabeth Andreassen sang "Winds of the northern seas" at Melodi Grand Prix 1998, Norway's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest that year. She had represented Norway three times at that point, achieving a victory once.

She placed 2nd in the selection and thus didn't make it to Eurovision.
