DU News:DU में पढ़ाई महंगी onwards academic session 2024-2025,group of students (Studying in Delhi University will now become expensive. From the upcoming session, the fee for studying in Delhi University has been increased. The increased fee will be implemented from the upcoming academic session 2024-25. Preparations have been made to increase the fees of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in Delhi University. Under this, the fee has been increased in five-year Integrated Law Program (BA LLB, BBA LLB), BTech Program, Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) for foreign students, PhD and NCWEB (Non Collegiate Women's Education Board).

The recommendations of the Fee Revision Committee will be placed in the Executive Council meeting to be held on Saturday after the permission of the Vice Chancellor. If we look at this year's fee structure of BTech, the fee has been increased by Rs 8,000 for one year. At present, the annual fee of BTech is Rs 2,16,000, which will be increased to Rs 2,24,000.

This will be the fee of law program

The current fee in law program is 1,90,000 which will increase to Rs 1,99,700. The fee in NCWEB's BA and BCom program is 3200-3600. This will now increase to Rs 7,130. In this way, the increase in various courses is from two thousand to nine thousand rupees. DU Executive Council member AK Singh said that the fee hike will be placed in the Executive Council meeting under Rule 11G. He said that it is unfair to increase the fee in this way. This will have more impact on lower class and upper middle class students. DU is a central university and students from low income group study here at low fees. But increasing the fee will affect their studies.

Students will have additional burden

The fee hike of various programs including B.Tech courses is not right. One of the reasons for students choosing Delhi University is low fees. But in the recent two years, Delhi University has started courses with high fees. Fee hike has started in them. Universities have been asked to start self-financed courses. Due to which central universities are being commercialized and privatized. Where will the students from economically poor sections go in this way.

The students organization KYS organised a protest against the hikes of fee in DU 🎓colleges , at the VC Office of Delhi University.
