Hi everyone! I've been working on developing this video for about a year! Putting together my travel/plein air watercolor bag has been a blast. I hope you enjoy this peek into what I have put together. The presented materials in this video represent hours of antique store hunting, Etsy and Amazon scouring, and building and re-building some of my equipment, yes with power tools.
If you've been wanting to get out there and do some light plein air work without hauling the heavy equipment, perhaps watercolor plein air is for you! I want to encourage you to enjoy the process of your own unique treasure hunting for things that will work.

I like a stiff small brush for rubbing areas out.
A tiny fine brush for small details.

Other items nice to have:
Various pencils and appropriate sharpeners
Different kinds of paper; painting, drawing, pastels, etc.
Glue/scissors for travel journaling things
Pens of varying kinds for inking. Dip pens plus ink or regular pens.
I like to have terra cotta, sepia, white and green colored conte pencils for drawing.
Kneaded and other erasers
Small ruler for sketching buildings
natural sponge or small pile of folded paper towels tucked in a zip lock bag to prevent used towels from wetting everything else.
A means to carry it all
Clever little containers for various loose elements
