The original, high quality recording of Red As Satan used for Ween's 1987 compilation album, The Crucial Squeegie Lip. This copy features none of the heavy reverb which was mixed onto that version, as well as the full extended intro and outro. This song was recorded in 1986 by Ween with The Pine Sheep, which is why it appears on none of Ween's original 5 cassette tapes, and why this original recording is purely in mono before reverb was added to simulate stereo on the Bird O Pray records release. This copy should be the clearest this song can sound, as The Pine Sheep was recording jam sessions on the spot with no tracking or additional mixing and one microphone, as well as the fact this recording comes from a 1st gen source.
