Oggi vi parlo del relitto della nave Capitan Antonio, un gioiello sommerso nelle acque della Calabria, vicino alla costa di Santa Caterina dello Ionio, nella provincia di Catanzaro.
Questo piccolo mercantile italiano, affondato durante una violenta mareggiata negli anni '80, giace a circa 12 metri di profondità, ed è divenuto nel tempo un autentico paradiso per subacquei e appassionati di snorkeling.
La nave, che trasportava barre di ferro, è divisa in due tronconi facilmente esplorabili. Nonostante l'affondamento, il relitto ha trovato nuova vita come habitat marino. La flora e la fauna presenti sono straordinariamente ricche e colorate.
Tra i pesci più comuni si trovano saraghi, triglie, occhiate, e branchi di pesce azzurro che si muovono attorno alle strutture della nave.
Inoltre, spirografi, anemoni e ricci di mare ondeggiano sulle lamiere, creando uno scenario quasi onirico. Anche creature più rare, come nudibranchi e polpi, sono spesso avvistati qui, rendendo l'esperienza subacquea affascinante.
Questo relitto, benché facilmente raggiungibile con l'aiuto di una barca, è un luogo unico per chi desidera immergersi nelle acque del mar Ionio alla ricerca di biodiversità e storia.

Today I'm going to tell you about the wreck of the Capitan Antonio ship, a submerged jewel in the waters of Calabria, near the coast of Santa Caterina dello Ionio, in the province of Catanzaro.
This small Italian merchant ship, sunk during a violent storm in the 1980s, lies at about 12 meters of depth, and has become over time a true paradise for divers and snorkeling enthusiasts.
