For most people wanting to get into vinyl records it's about having that extra connection to their favourite artists or another way to appreciate some music. You can't hug an mp3 after all!
Unfortunately there is a fair bit of snoberry around vinyl and all the (sometimes cool) analog gear that we use to play our records. It can be an intimidating environment for someone who didn't grow up in the age of home hi-fi systems. We think that's crap.
We also don't subsribe to the idea that you have to spend big or ruin your record with a dodgy turntable.
We compare some of the most commonly reviewed and recommended turntables online and recommend what we think is a contender for the best value turntable on the market aimed at those just gettig started with vinyl.

In the Video
We look at the Debut Carbon Evo from Pro-ject Audio, probably the most reviewed and recommended turntable on youtube that is sometimes billed as "the best starter or beginner turntable"
We chat about the infamous suitcase record players from Crossley, Vitrola and the rest. The most criticised piece of vinyl related gear on the market
And we recommend a cheap, affordable turntable that is actually designed for those new to vinyl that sounds good and won't ruin your records, the AT-LP60X range from Audio Technica.

We'd love to hear what you'd like to see next or what you think of the turntables we discuss in the video if you happen to have one.
