Hi guys, thanks for joining Katchi Vatchi today! I’m Jordan and I’ve been sewing for about 25 years and have been a professional quilter for the last decade. Today we are going to make a mask using all of the shortcuts learned from these last few weeks of sewing face masks pretty much non stop at work and home. The shop I work at has made well over 1000 masks now, and we’ve narrowed down the process to these essentials. I will be showing multiple variations to these to help you use whatever you have. No serger, no elastic needed.

And that’s it! All that remains is for you, your family member, etsy customer, or hospital to put in the filter! The filters are intended for single use, to be thrown out at the end of the day at the very least. I am not a medical professional, all I know is what’s been requested of me or shared with me through friends who are. PPE material makes great filters as well as mechanics paper towels, coffee filters etc. If you have any questions just comment below, or just share with us what you’ve been sewing under quarantine! Tag @KatchiVatchi in your projects on Instagram, we love seeing what you’re doing!
