Having dark green grass isn’t hard. By following the steps in this video, you too can achieve your desired lawn. Did you ever wonder how that one house in your neighborhood has that rich dark green color to their lawn? Likely they did this:

1.If your lawn is older and especially during the summer, try mowing taller. This can help give shade to the roots, out-compete the weeds and assist in photosynthesis (where the green color comes from)
2.Use liquid iron. Iron gives that green effect and can be quickly delivered to the plant when taken up through the grass blades. Make sure its chealated iron.
3.If your lawn is deficient in magnesium, try adding epson salt (magnesium-sulfate). This too can green up your lawn.


Liquid iron
Back pack sprayer: 3-4 oz per 1 gallon
Hose end sprayer: set to dial to 3 oz and apply 5-10 oz per 1000 sq ft.

Epson salt
Apply 6 lb per 2500 sq ft. In a spreader or dilute it in a sprayer.
