Sean Buckelew is an award-winning animator, writer, and director. He holds an MFA in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of the Arts and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 2019, he received a Guggenheim Fellowship.

Sean is a founding partner at Green Street Pictures, an independent animation studio based in Los Angeles, California.

He has since transitioned into writing for animated TV shows, including HBO Max's Scavengers Reign and the upcoming Adult Swim series Common Side Effects.
