Le Phnom Krom est une colline proche de Siem Reap sur laquelle est bâti un temple hindou du début du Xe siècle. Au pied de cette colline se côtoient deux zones DE TERRE ET D'EAU séparées par une digue, l'une sauvage, l'autre cultivée.
La pièce de harpe khmère à seize cordes qui accompagne cette ESCALE, a été composée et interprétée par Patrick Kersalé. L'instrument est accordé selon un mode pentatonique ancien aujourd'hui encore utilisé dans la musique classique khmère.

Phnom Krom is a hill near Siem Reap on which is built a Hindu temple from the beginning of the 10th century. At the foot of this mountain are two areas of LAND AND WATER separated by a dike, one wild, the other cultivated.
The sixteen-string Khmer harp piece that accompanies this ESCALE was composed and performed by Patrick Kersalé. The instrument is tuned according to an ancient pentatonic mode still used today in Khmer classical music.
