'Dealing with the Past: Coal, Community and Change (1965-2015)' was an exhibition which explored memories of coalmining in the East Midlands region through a set of iconic images. The idea was part of the Coal and Dialect initiative at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) and toured the region in 2019. It was financed by the NTU Global Heritage Fund. The main aim of the exhibition was to capture much of what was important in coalmining heritage within living memory.
