I originally uploaded this video using a Codec that came with Corel VideoX2 (which was a garbage codec and program), but then decided to upload an M2TS file--the native file that is imported from the camera using Sony's PMB--to YouTube to see whether or not YouTube would play nice...and it did! This video is the closest you can come to raw footage from this camcorder on YouTube, having only undergone the conversion process at YouTube's sever farms.

PS: The 5.1 Ch Mic on the camera is good....a little too good. Without a filter, it picks up all kinds of ambient noise. In this video it's understandable, though. The thing with all the fans is a HUGE A/C unit and it's pretty noisy even without the mic's sensitivity.

TIP This is what your video will look like at the highest resolution out of the box, which is honestly pretty mediocre, but it gives you plenty of flexibility when it comes to fixing. Good post-production software helps with the washed-out look (I use Sony Vegas Platinum now), but one item that gave me an incredible improvement on appearance was a polarized filter from Sony. After putting that filter on, the quality improved to something that looked professional as opposed to a handycam. Seriously consider that investment.
