As part of the Social Protection Week in Zambia, the ILO, in collaboration with UNDP, hosted a hybrid roundtable and webinar focused on climate-resilient development . This event provided a comprehensive platform for discussion, blending various approaches to create long-term development perspectives while adapting to climate and environmental challenges. The session emphasized solutions, prevention, and sustainability, guided by frameworks such as the UNDP strategy for integrating Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation, and the ILO's Just Transition framework.

The primary objectives were to deepen the understanding of integrated approaches to climate-resilient development, derive actionable strategies for strengthening social protection and job creation policies in Zambia from global lessons learned, and investigate sustainable financing mechanisms.
