Made for Trail Use. If you like to wheel hard in your Jeep and at least some of the time drag the pumpkin over rocks, this ARB Dana 44 - Differential Cover could be a really good thing to have. It fits on 1987 to 2017 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, and JK models. While this cover costs more than many others on the market, it comes with a dipstick, which you don't get in competing covers. The drain sits at the lowest point, so you can get the maximum amount of oil out when you're servicing the differential.

Heavy Duty Construction. This differential cover is made of a high tensile strength nodular iron, so it's incredibly strong. Recessed bolt heads prevent mishaps on the trail, so you're not having to deal with sheared bolts. Both black or red powder coat finishes are available, whichever you prefer. The drain plug and dipstick are both neodymium magnets, so they attract even the smallest metal fragments.

Perfect Fitment. Installing this differential cover is a very simple process, because it fits exactly and just bolts into place. You do have a little bit of prep work, like draining the fluid and cleaning the axle assembly extremely well. After you take the old cover off, you'll have to scrape the old gasket off, which you can do with a gasket removal tool, among other tools. While you have the cover off, this is a great time to inspect your differential. Then you mark the oil level on the new dipstick, apply your gasket material, and bolt the new cover in place. This should take about 10 to 15 minutes of your time.
